Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT) – The MACP degree meets the academic requirements set out by the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT), and graduates of the program are eligible to apply for NSCCT membership.
New Brunswick Teacher Certification – Certified teachers are eligible to increase their certification level from 4-5 or 5-6 upon completion of the MACP. This program also meets the required criteria for guidance counselors in New Brunswick.
Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) – MACP graduates are eligible to apply for Professional Membership and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) designation with CCPA.
Canadian College of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists (CCPCP) – MACP graduates are eligible to apply for membership.

Ontario

The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) – The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, recognizes the MACP program offered by Yorkville University. To qualify for registration with the College, individuals applying for membership must have completed a program of education and training in psychotherapy that has allowed them to develop the required entry-to-practice competencies. Yorkville’s MACP degree was one of the first four recognized programs listed on the CRPO website.
Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP) – MACP graduates are eligible to apply for membership with OACCPP.

BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) – MACP graduates are eligible to apply for membership and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) status through the BCACC. Eligibility to apply for a membership with the BCACC requires a master’s degree from an accredited institution; in Canada the institution must be government approved or be an authorized degree granting institution
